Wow, it sure has been a long time since I’ve been on here. I would apologise, but no one really looks at this anyway (if you do please comment).
So, I guess I’m going to tell you what I thought of e3 2011.
First, the big 3:
Nintendo: a lot of cool new games (Kirby Wii! Mario Kart! Mario 3d!), but the main focus this year was on The new console, the Wii U. really? thats such a stupid name! The new controller looks pretty cool though, and I like how they’re trying to appeal to a hardcore audience again(Arkham City? sweet.) also new Smash Bros.? on 3DS and the Wii U? *brawlgasms*
Sony: The new PSP looks pretty cool, and I’m suprised they’re trying to compete with the 3DS in terms of price. A nice range of games coming out for it though, like Uncharted, Resistance,Modnation, and LBP. Some nice new games too, Uncharted 3 is looking great, and so’s Resistance 3(lots of 3′s this year).
Microsoft: well, I didn’t watch this one so there’s not much I can say, but from what I can gather the main announcement was Halo 4(and 5 &6). Well, I for one, am slightly annoyed. I’m not a big Halo fan, but I know they’re fun games so it kinda makes sense. but what was the tagline for Halo 3 again? Oh yeah, Finish the Fight. you can’t set a game after Halo 3 when you kinda said it was the last one. ¬¬.
I’ll bring you my thoughts on the rest of the announcements and games some other time.
The controller for the new console. Looks interesting, but I want proof it can be used well in games.
